Apple Health in ChatGPT & Claude outside the US

Built-in Apple Health features in ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Copilot are US only as of October 2026. Outside the US you can connect Apple Health through a custom connector such as P.R.O., which works in any country where the app is available — in ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and Codex.

Gemini is the exception: Google offers custom apps in Gemini only in the US.

How to do it from the UK, EU, Canada, Australia or India

The steps are the same in every country: install P.R.O., add https://mcp.proapp.uk as a custom connector in your assistant, and approve it with a one-time code from the app.

  1. Install P.R.O. on your iPhone, sign in and allow Apple Health access. It’s free. On October 27, 2026 we found the App Store listing in the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Canada, Australia and India.
  2. In your assistant, add a custom connector with the address https://mcp.proapp.uk and OAuth.
  3. In P.R.O., open Settings → MCP Connect → Get connection code, enter the six-character code on the authorization page and choose which data the assistant can read. The code works once, for 10 minutes.

Step-by-step guides with screenshots:

  • Apple Health in ChatGPT — Set it up once on chatgpt.com — Safari on iPhone works — and it then appears in the ChatGPT iPhone app too. The iPhone app can’t add custom servers on its own.
  • Apple Health in Claude — Add a custom connector in the Claude app under Settings → Connectors. It works on the Free plan, which allows one custom connector.
  • Apple Health in Perplexity — Add a custom remote connector on perplexity.ai. Perplexity answers in text and draws its own charts.
  • Apple Health in Grok — Add a custom connector at grok.com/connectors or in the Grok iPhone app.
  • Apple Health in Codex — Add P.R.O. as an MCP server in the ChatGPT desktop app, or run codex mcp add pro --url https://mcp.proapp.uk.

Two assistants don’t work from outside the US today. Gemini custom apps are US only, for adults with a personal Google account; if you wear a Fitbit or Pixel Watch, Google Health Coach in the Google Health app is offered in the UK, much of the EU, Canada, Australia and India. Microsoft’s help for consumer Copilot lists only built-in connections, and we haven’t tested P.R.O. there.

Privacy: what goes where

Nothing is shared until you type the pairing code, and the assistant only sees the categories you leave switched on.

  • P.R.O. syncs the Apple Health categories you allow from your iPhone. You can switch off profile, goals, daily metrics, workouts, workout routes, sleep, heart rate and HRV, or coach memory in Settings → MCP Connect.
  • When you ask your assistant something and it calls P.R.O., the permitted data is processed by the MCP operator, Dorokhov Daniil, an independent developer in Armenia, and returned to that assistant. From then on, the assistant’s own privacy policy applies — OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity or xAI.
  • Detailed uploads, such as a full-day heart-rate series or a GPS route, happen only on request and are deleted from P.R.O.’s servers after 48 hours.
  • P.R.O. does not sell your data, use health data for advertising or train AI models on it.
  • To revoke access, tap × beside the assistant in Settings → MCP Connect. Removing the connector only inside the assistant doesn’t revoke it. Deleting your P.R.O. account deletes your data on P.R.O.’s servers and revokes every connection.
  • If you live in the EU or EEA, GDPR rights (Articles 15–22) apply to data held by HAOTONG TECHNOLOGY (HK) CO., LIMITED, which operates the app. Write to mail@proapp.uk; for data an assistant holds, contact that provider. Details are in Part C of the Privacy Policy.

Questions from outside the US

Is ChatGPT Health available in the UK?

No. OpenAI’s help page lists Health in ChatGPT for users in the US only (checked October 27, 2026), and the early access that opened in January 2026 excluded the UK, the EEA and Switzerland. In the UK you can still bring Apple Health into ChatGPT by adding the free P.R.O. app as a custom MCP server at https://mcp.proapp.uk.

Why is ChatGPT Health not available in my country?

OpenAI launched Health in ChatGPT to US users on July 23, 2026 and has not published a date for other countries. In January 2026 the early-access group was open outside the EEA, Switzerland and the UK, but since the launch OpenAI’s help page lists the US only. The P.R.O. connector is not limited to the US.

Can Claude read Apple Health outside the US?

Not through Claude’s own integration: Anthropic describes it as a beta for US users on Pro and Max. Custom connectors are a different feature, available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, so you can add P.R.O. at https://mcp.proapp.uk from the UK, the EU, Canada, Australia or India.

Is Perplexity Health available in the UK, Canada, Australia or India?

Not yet. Perplexity Health is for Pro and Max subscribers in the US, in a phased rollout; Perplexity says more regions are coming but gives no dates. Outside the US you can add P.R.O. as a custom remote connector on perplexity.ai.

Can I use Gemini with Apple Health in Europe?

Not with P.R.O. today. Gemini has no built-in Apple Health integration, and Google offers custom apps in Gemini only in the US, to adults with a personal Google account. Google Health Coach is offered in the UK and much of the EU, but it lives in the Google Health app and needs a Fitbit or Pixel Watch and Google Health Premium.

Can I use a VPN to get ChatGPT Health or Claude’s Apple Health feature?

We don’t recommend it. These providers decide availability by account and region, so a VPN may not unlock a feature, and getting around a regional restriction may breach the provider’s terms and put your account at risk. A custom connector is a supported feature in ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and Codex, so you can use P.R.O. from where you are.

Does P.R.O. work in the EU and the UK?

Yes. On October 27, 2026 the P.R.O. App Store listing was available in the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Canada, Australia and India. The connector at https://mcp.proapp.uk has no country restriction of its own; your assistant’s plan needs to allow custom connectors, and Gemini custom apps are US only.

Where does my health data go, and what about GDPR?

P.R.O. syncs only the Apple Health categories you allow. When your assistant asks, the categories you permit are processed by the MCP operator, Dorokhov Daniil in Armenia, and returned to the assistant you connected, whose own privacy policy then applies. P.R.O. does not sell the data, use it for advertising or train AI models on it. EU and EEA users have GDPR rights (Articles 15–22) over data held by HAOTONG TECHNOLOGY (HK) CO., LIMITED; write to mail@proapp.uk.
