How to sync Amazfit with Apple Health

Yes. The Zepp app writes Amazfit data to Apple Health once you link it under Profile in Zepp and allow the Health permissions. Steps, workouts, heart rate, active energy and sleep come through; HRV is exported only for the Helio Strap, and Zepp scores such as PAI, stress and readiness stay in Zepp.

How to connect Amazfit to Apple Health

4 steps on your iPhone, about two minutes.

Before you start

  • iPhone with the Zepp app (for current Amazfit watches and bands)
  • Amazfit device paired in Zepp
  • Older Amazfit/Mi bands that use Zepp Life follow the Xiaomi Zepp Life steps instead
  1. Open Zepp

Update Zepp from the App Store and make sure your Amazfit device is synced.

  2. Link Apple Health

Tap Profile, then Add accounts (shown as third-party account linking in some versions), and choose Apple Health (labelled Health). Confirm the request with OK.

    3. Apple Health
  3. Grant permissions

In the Apple Health sheet tap Turn On All (or pick categories), then Allow.

  4. Check in the Health app

Health app > tap your profile picture > Privacy > Apps > Zepp, and make sure each category you want is on.

After setup

Zepp writes to Apple Health after it pulls fresh data from the watch, so open Zepp or let it sync in the background (keep Background App Refresh on). The link is mostly one-way: Zepp writes to Apple Health and reads only a few types such as weight.

Avoid double-counting

If you wear an Apple Watch too, or carry the iPhone, steps and calories can be double-counted. In Health > Browse > Activity > Steps (and Active Energy) > Data Sources & Access > Edit, drag Zepp or your Apple Watch to the top. Don't also run Zepp Life for the same device.

Put Zepp first in Apple Health

  1. Health
  2. Browse
  3. Activity
  4. Steps
  5. Data Sources & Access
  6. Edit
  1. Open the Health app and tap Browse.
  2. Choose a category and a data type, for example Activity → Steps.
  3. Scroll down and tap Data Sources & Access.
  4. Tap Edit, then touch and hold the handle next to your device’s app and drag it to the top.
  5. Tap Done. Repeat for other data types you track with more than one device, such as Active Energy or Walking + Running Distance.

The source at the top wins when several write the same data type. New apps and devices are added at the top automatically. Apple Support ↗

Amazfit not syncing to Apple Health?

Zepp is stuck on the "Allow Zepp to access Apple Health" screen

Force-close Zepp, update it, and reopen. A user-reported workaround is to open Zepp with the network off (Airplane Mode), then turn the network back on.

Data stops appearing in Apple Health

Sync the watch in Zepp first, check Background App Refresh for Zepp, then check Health > profile > Apps > Zepp toggles. Turning the link off and on under Profile > Add accounts can help.

No HRV in Apple Health

Only the Helio Strap exports HRV. Users also report HRV values landing on the previous day.

PAI, stress or readiness are missing

These are Zepp-only scores and are not written to Apple Health.

Wrong app

Current Amazfit devices use Zepp. Zepp Life (formerly Mi Fit) is for older Xiaomi Mi Bands and legacy Amazfit bands and syncs only steps, sleep and weight.
