How to sync Oura Ring with Apple Health
Yes. The Oura app writes sleep with stages, heart rate (one-minute intervals), steps, active energy, workouts with routes, nighttime respiratory rate, mindful minutes, weight and height to Apple Health, and reads workouts and other data back.
Key caveats: HRV, resting heart rate, SpO2, temperature and Readiness/Sleep scores are not written, and Gen3 or Ring 4 owners need an active Oura membership for the integration.

After setup
Data reaches Apple Health after the ring syncs with the Oura app, for example after a workout or overnight sleep. Oura recommends opening both the Oura and Health apps at least once a day before midnight; imports can fail if Background App Refresh is off or Low Power Mode is on.
Avoid double-counting
If you also wear an Apple Watch or carry an iPhone, set one step source on top: Health app → Browse → Activity → Steps → Data Sources & Access → Edit → drag Oura (or your watch) to the top → Done. If steps still double, turn off Oura's Steps write permission in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Oura. For sleep, put the device you wear at night first in Sleep → Data Sources & Access. Oura counts only active calories, so energy totals differ from sources that add BMR.

- Edit
- Open the Health app and tap Browse.
- Choose a category and a data type, for example Activity → Steps.
- Scroll down and tap Data Sources & Access.
- Tap Edit, then touch and hold the handle next to your device’s app and drag it to the top.
- Tap Done. Repeat for other data types you track with more than one device, such as Active Energy or Walking + Running Distance.
The source at the top wins when several write the same data type. New apps and devices are added at the top automatically. Apple Support ↗
Oura Ring not syncing to Apple Health?
Oura data stopped syncing to Apple Health
Update iOS and the Oura app, turn all of Oura's sharing switches off and back on, then restart the iPhone. Turn on Background App Refresh and turn off Low Power Mode.
Some days are missing in Health
Open both the Oura app and Health at least once a day before midnight so the import runs.
Steps are double counted
Make Oura (or your Apple Watch) the top Steps source, or turn off Oura's Steps write permission.
Can't edit height, weight, age or sex in Oura
Values imported from Apple Health are locked in Oura until you unlink the apps.
Calories don't match

Integration still broken
Back up data (Settings → Account), uninstall and reinstall Oura, then reconnect Apple Health.
